It's Simple Sunday on a Simply a Monday!

What a great time Simple Sunday was. I had several ladies with me live. Always more fun to not do it on your own! I am feeling much more relaxed with each one I do. I still do not have all the proper equipment (lighting and a fancy tripod), but I am beginning to believe that all that "stuff" is just another obsession. Easily recognized by a very obsessive lady!

Yesterday's card was quite fun to make. I had asked Patty, my team mate, which stamp set she wanted to see me use this week. Daisy Lane was the one she loves (I knew that). It is a carryover from last year's catalog. I also have used it quite often lately.

But always as a spring/summer card. So pulling in some fall color totally changed the feeling! I wish I had put a leaf or stem on it. But I still like it.

Please excuse the poor quality of that picture.  Just don't know! So here are the details.
  •  Cajun Craze  5 1/2" x 8 1/2"  scored at 4 1/4".
  •   Very Vanilla  2" x 4 3/4" ;      3 12-/2" x 4 1/2" for inside;                                                               (2 small pieces to fit your sentiment)
  • Crumb Cake 21/4" x 5"
  • So Saffron   2 pieces to mat your sentiment
I started by stamping the small flower on a post it note and fussy cut it out.
After deciding where i wanted my first flower, I stamped it in Cajun Craze. Placing the cut post it flower, I proceeded to stamp the remaining flowers. I like to mask because I feel it gives my simple flat stamping some dimension. I glued this strip to the crumb cake strip and popped it with dimensionals on the upper section of the card.
Stamping the sentiments on strips of Very Vanilla was the next step. Mat it on So Saffron  and glued to the bottom right. I added a couple of enamel dots to give it a bit of bling.
Whenever I use a dark card base, like I have on this one, I always finish off the inside with a lighter piece of paper, Makes it look a bit more professional, and gives me a place to write! So that is where I used the final piece of Very Vanilla.  Before adhering it down, I stamped a couple more flowers in the 2 corners. Adding the sentiment and gluing it inside the card were the last steps of this easy card!

Like I said, I really enjoyed making and sharing this with you all. If you would like to watch a re-play of this card, you can see it  on my Face Book page here . And join me next Sunday at 3:00 for another Simple Sunday Card.
I'm Dreamin' of a great week of creating....You keep Dreamin' too!

  1. Well, as you know, this is my favorite stamp set! I have always loved daisies. I have been using the Daisy Lane stamp a lot lately, but now I have a whole new way to use it!

I need to get in gear and give this card a try!
