Paper Pumpkin done Simple

Well, that is really a silly title, Paper Pumpkin is simple already!  I remember when I got my first one, with my starter kit and said, 'This is crap!" It was an older one, and I just thought it was ridiculous. But you know what? If it would help my business, I would get it.  And the next was was good and I made the whole thing. Then I got 3 gals over and we had a class with the 3rd one. And now? I love the simplicity of them and the challenge of them!

Challenge? Yes! The challenge to make something different from them.  I love to take the products and do something that has nothing to do with the paper. And die cuts galore. One kit I mad 18 cards with!  So I am hooked or addicted/ Who knows which/

This was an unusually stressful week and my mojo was not working. So I went to pinterest to find some inspiration.  Instead, I found a card that I liked a lot and C.A.S.E.D it!  To CASE is to copy someone else's design.  This card was from the blog of  Melinda Anderson, a fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator.  So simple.

I used a standard card base in Blackberry Bliss. I think it was the first time I have ever used this paper!  I bought one of those sets with all colors in a color group, 2 pages each. I still had 2 left!  I am in love with this color!  So it was 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and I scored it at 4 1/2".
I Stamped the sentiment, which was from the Happiest of Birthdays set, on a piece of scrap, with the Blackberry Bliss ink spot that came in the kit.  Using the largest of the Stitched Nested Labels die set,
I positioned my sentiment where the word 'birthday' was almost at the bottom before the point. Cut it out and then evened off the top at the opposite point.  I wrapped the Night of Navy Baker's Twine (also in the kit) around the top and just tied it with an overhand knot.  I did secure it on the back with tape to prevent it from slipping off!
The beautiful night time sky DSP was already pre-sized to fit a card front. So, using my Multipurpose Liquid Glue I adhered it to the front of the card base (i always check, because several times I have put it on the back!)  Using Dimensionals  I popped the banner piece on the card front. Add a couple of Elegant Faceted Gems and I have mad a Simple Sunday card!!  Always finish your inside with some Whisper White card stock cut 4" x 5 1/4" when you use dark cardstock.
Thanks for joining me today. Leave me a note, so I note you were here. It gets lonely out here in blog world!  Drop in and watch my live on my facebook page, if you wish.

I'm Dreamin' of what I will make next...
You keep Dreamin' too!
