A not so Simple Monday

Good morning Dreamers!  It is another late night (early morning?) post from me!  Something woke me at 3 a.m. and when I was still awake an hour later, decided to at least be productive!  Blogging seems to be the hardest thing to find time to do, with distance learning going on at my house! My 7th grade grandson takes over my design space and my computer 5 days a week now! It may or may not get better soon, as no one in Oklahoma takes it serious. Except my friend Patty!  Who I miss!

Yesterday was a beautiful day in Sand Springs. I say it was, but the only time I went outside was to chase my dogs back into the fence! They are quite the escape artists. Hubby was at a friend's house all weekend, so I had time to myself on Saturday. It was a treasure that I filled with crafting, designing Facebook posts and eating nothing but vegetables and 2 small ribs. Heaven!

So Simple Sunday was so simple. I opened my October Paper Pumpkin and made 2 of the cards. Just as they come from the kit. You can watch my video here. I wish more people understood how relaxing it is to put a kit together. Follow their pictures and BOOM! you are finished. And they are so beginner friendly!  And for $20, I got an Ink Spot (Just Jade this month!), a set of stamps, die cuts, twine, card bases, envelopes...even dimensionals and glue dots.

I also made an alternative. This set was simple to do that with. Here is my recipe:

  • 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Cherry Cobbler cardstock.    score at 4 1/4" fold; cut 3 1/4" square
  • Cut one card base from kit in half. Trim back piece to 5 1/4" x 4"
  • Cut DSP of choice, 5" x 3 3/4"  (I used Classic Christmas, an exclusive available until Jan. 4)
  • October 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit
I layered the matting pieces as shown in picture. On wreath cutout, I stamped the top of the wreath.  Popped it up with dimensionals, to add another layer of texture. I adhered the "peace" die cut to wreath. A small scrap of Crumb Cake was all that was needed to stamp the sentiment onto. Still simple, but just a little stepped up!
I am starting a new monthly event on my Facebook page. We will join together on either Zoom or a Facebook Rooms(?) and just put our kits together and talk!  Almost like a crop, but virtually. And this will be open to all, whether your buy your Pumpkin from me or not. Keep an eye on the FB page for more info.
If you do not have a demonstrator, I would love to be yours!  You can order any of the products I used by just clicking one of the highlighted products in my recipe!  It will take you directly to the product on my business page.
And here is the link to start getting Paper Pumpkin kits of your own!  Paper Pumpkin
The December Kit will be 12 full size cards and, from the sneak peaks, I understand it will include Teddy Bears!

I am Dreamin' of getting together with my friends and crafting...
You keep Dreamin' too!
