Gift Cards Holders for a Simple Sunday's Monday!

 Good Morning Dreamers!

It is a beautiful frosty morning here in Oklahoma. It can be cold, as long as the sun shines brightly. And it does not disappoint today!  I hope your weather is behaving itself also

One other reason I am so cheery is the fact that today my son may get released from the hospital. It has been over 2 weeks and my fear is his chance of contracting covid-19goes up every minute he is there. He will be going home with an IV tree, for antibiotics and vitamins. He still isn't allowed anything to eat or drink. We are feeling blessed that this day has come. Maybe he will not be so cranky!

I decided to change up Simple Sunday from cards to a gift card holder. Mainly the decision came because most of you have gotten your cards in the mail already. But this year, with shopping limited, gift cards may be the way several people are going. I know! So many of us shop on line, but I love being out with the crowds!  So, anyways....let's get some made!

These cards push the boundary of  "simple" cards. But they really are straight cuts and adhesive. If you don't have a Cut & Emboss Machine, a punch or even just a rectangle will do the job.
I have separated the cutting into "top of box" and "bottom of box".

Bottom of  Box
Card Stock:        4-3/4" x 5", scored on long side at 2-1/2"
  Whisper White:  1-1/4" x 2-1/2"
   DSP                   1-1/8" x -1/2"

Starting with the bottom, fold and burnish your cardstock. Put Tear Tape on both the short ends, and fold up to make the pocket.  Adhere the DSP to WW and then center onto bottom of the pocket.

Top of Box
Card Stock:        5-1/4" x 3",  score on short side at 1-1/2"
                              4" x  3-1/4"  (for slide mat)
  Whisper White:  5-1/8" x 1-3/8"
                             3-7/8" x 3-1/8" (for slide)
   DSP                   5" x 1-1/4"

Adhere WW slide onto the cardstock slide mat. Place into pocket. (*I found that I needed to cut my mat just a little shorter on the 4" side to help it slide better. Not too much or it will not stay in!)
Align box top so the bottom overlaps just a bit and it is centered with bottom side to side.

Remove paper from dimensionals and adhere. Turn over and do other side. The dimensionals give an easy lift over the bottom, making it easier to slide open & close.

Decorate your top and you are finished. I added a bow (they are so misshapen!) and of course the tag.
Hope you enjoy making these. I would love to see yours, so hop on over to Dreamer's Stamping Klub and post it. It is a new group and I am excited to see it grow!

Don't forget, tomorrow is the Giant Year-End Closeout Sale!  I hope you will consider shopping with me. I really appreciate it.

I am Dreamin' of my son going home...You keep Dreamin' too!
