Not a Simple Monday . . Beautiful World

My love of this stamp set will last forever!  It is full of sentiments that are uplifting, grateful, celebrating and inviting you to follow your dreams!  When I started my scrapbook store, years ago, I had a very small dream of having a great business. Well, success did not come in the form of money. But instead I was blessed with the greatest group of gals, my Dreamer's Klub, that I could ever imagine. While the store has closed, those friendships have never died.   That is how I feel about this set.

A little sappy, I know. But it is Holy Week, and after a year of having no physical church, I am waxing very poetic!  I miss church...but I have had a chance to meet with God in new places. I miss Friday night crops...but we have Zoom crops. I miss teaching classes....but I have a couple of lives every week.  I miss retreats...but they are coming in the future. But Dreamin' of creating beautiful paper projects has grown SOOO much. Grown into reality.

I wasn't much of a card maker before I closed the store. I loved scrapbooking. But I have grown so comfortable with making cards. So let me show you these. And quit talking!

I love using this Beautiful World stamp set!  It is so uplifting. It is one of the Retiring sets, which means it will not be in the catalog come May!  I am incredibly sad about that for you all that don't have it yet!
The recipe for this one is easy. And if you need help putting it together, go grab the video In the Klubhouse. I am working on getting it loaded to my YouTube channel, but I have technical issues. Hopefully you can find it soon on  Stamping with Pammie Kay!                                                             As usual on Mondays (I know it is Tuesday before this got posted!) I am giving you the dimensions only for the Live card. I used I used Early Espresso cut 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4" for my base.  Soft Suede was cut at 31/4" x 5 1/2". My DSP was cut at 2 7/8" x 5 1/2".

My Not So Simple Monday Card  is made for my daughter, who is thinking about going back to school to become a writer. It was a childhood passion. She even had a poem published in a book of poetry several years ago. I really wanted to encourage her to take that step. It was made with Beautiful World and Sailing Home stamp sets.

     * Cut Very Vanilla Cardstock (CS) 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" and score on long side at 4 1/2". Burnish with your Bone folder and set this base aside.

     *  I cut my DSP to follow the squares on it! It is roughly 3 3/4: x 5 1/". Glue to base.

*Again, measuring the squares on the DSP, I cut Very Vanilla 1 1/2" x 3 5/16"  I stamped the ink well with Early Expresso and made a mask using a piece of sticky note. Then with Crumb Cake, I stamped the feather so it looks like it is inside the ink well.

     * The sentiment was from the Sailing Home bundle, as was the die cut. Again I used the Early Espresso ink. I centered it and attached it with Stampin' Up! Dimensionals.

    * The finishing piece, also popped up was wrapped with the Braided Linen Trim. The Very Vanilla piece was cut 1" x 2 13/16 to fit the grid blocks.  I stamped the sentiment "Adventure Awaits" on the inside.

I love this set! It would work for a new baby, an I love you card, graduation, and so many other things. It will be one retired set that I will hang on to!.  If you would like to grab it before it is gone forever, shop here. And be sure to join the Dreamer's Stamping Klub on Facebook. This is a private group, where we share events, have a challenge or 2 and as more people join, have some fun!
I have a plan for a place for us to gather online without Face Book, but I need to gather more Dreamer's First!  So watch for that announcement in the next few months.

Thanks for stopping by. Leave a comment and I will send you some Happy Mail!

I am Dreamin' of the New Catalog....You keep Dreamin' too!
